Skill Level (5/10):

This pattern is considered easy to intermediate. It requires basic plush toy sewing skills such as ladder stitching, matching notches, sewing opposing curves, and sewing faux fur. The most difficult part of this pattern is turning the antennae. Due to their thin base they can be tricky if you do not own hemostats or a tube turner. We did however include several tips if you don’t own those tools. Besides the antennae the pattern is relatively straight forward and simple to follow if you have basic sewing experience. If any of the steps are proving difficult, we recommend slowing down, rereading the steps, and hand sewing if you aren’t already.

Dimensions:

12 1/2 in (31 3/4 cm) tall (not including antennae
7 1/2 in (19 cm) wide
8 in (20 1/3 cm) deep

Material Information:

The material used on the example bee’s eyes is known as legacy foil. It is a soft minky/velvet like fabric with reflective yet soft dots. It is available in limited colors at Joann Fabrics and in a full range at www.bluemoonfabrics.com
